Pinafore Dress for Harriet It’s upcycled from a maternity chambray dress of mine. (We are done having children, you hear.) Will she wear it? Yes, by god. I’ll make her wear it at least once for every time she has me read Beatrix Potter’s “The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle.” (A story about a farm-girl who loses her hankies and a pinafore only to find that a washer-woman has found and laundered them, along with other articles of clothing about which Potter goes into detail. The laundress, we find out, is actually a hedgehog in disguise. It’s riveting.) Starting today.
